Ongoing Research Studies
Researchers at the University of Iowa are recruiting adult stroke survivors for a study testing the effects of non-invasive brain stimulation on the neural circuits controlling arm and hand movement. To participate, you must be at least 18 years old, have had a stroke more than 6 months ago, and have some problems moving your arms or hands. Compensation is provided and transportation can be arranged as needed. If you or someone you know may be interested, please visit https://redcap.link/bsd-tms-stroke-at-iowa to complete a brief eligibility questionnaire or contact us directly at rt-neurorehab-lab@uiowa.edu.
Researchers at the University of Iowa are recruiting healthy adults for a study investigating how the brain controls hand movement, using non-invasive brain stimulation. Our goal is to better understand how specific brain pathways control different hand movements, which may help us develop better stroke rehabilitation strategies in the future. To participate, you must be at least 18 years old, have no history of stroke or neurological conditions, and be right-handed. Compensation is provided and transportation can be arranged if needed. If you or someone you know may be interested, please visit https://redcap.link/healthy_grasping to complete a brief eligibility questionnaire.
